Friedrich Wilhelms-Hütte GmbH

Founded in 1811, Friedrich Wilhelms-Hütte GmbH in Mülheim an der Ruhr is an internationally recognised foundry for high-quality cast steel products. Until 1998, the company belonged to the Thyssen Group and has been part of Georgsmarienhütte Holding GmbH since the merger of Thyssen and Krupp. The iron casting division was closed in 2020 for economic reasons.
The foundry uses modern, computer-aided production equipment and focuses on the manufacture of thin-walled, easily weldable and high-strength cast components that are exposed to the highest stresses.
